Croatia Northern Explorer Itinerary

Split
Split is known as the second largest city and one of the oldest cities of Croatia. The bustling cafes and boutique shopping available in the quaint cobbled back streets stand in perfect contrast to the local designer stores and award-winning restaurants on the tree lined promenade. Nearby where our boats are based and where you will depart from. The town was built entirely of stone and due to its preserved, antique look visitors have named it “The Stone Beauty”.

Solta
The first sailing leg give you a chance to stretch your sea legs, get your sails out and enjoy the fresh sea breeze! Only a short hop from Trogir we arrive to the sleepy island of Solta. The local konoba, perched on the cliff side, boasts a wonderful ambience, serving the best of delicious local wines, famous local delicacy Peka and the freshest catch of the day.

Kaprije
The only village on the island of same name, Kaprije is perfectly situated to explore coves, bays and the untouched nature this route is so renowned for. The traditional village atmosphere is like being transported to another age, with no vehicles allowed in town and the locals playing balote (Croatian version of boules) in the afternoon shade.

Skradin & Krka Waterfalls
For our next stop we make our way to the incredibly beautiful stone town of Skradin, situated on the river Krka. This is perfectly situated to explore the Krka National Park and once you have had your fill of enjoying the refreshing and scenic waterfalls, famous local vineyard Bibich is a short transfer away and a stunning way to round off the day.

Dugi Otok
Dubbed an oasis of peace, our first night in the Kornati National Park takes us to the remote northern islands allowing for a day of relaxation and rest. Here you will find white pebble beaches and turquoise shallow bays backed by pine forests. Largely bypassed by tourism and development it is largely uninhabited, with the aromatic wild herbs dotted around the landscape providing the perfect backdrop to enjoy unspoilt nature at its best.

Kornati National Park
Telašćica Bay on Kornati National Park is our next stop, one of the safest, most beautiful and largest natural ports in the Adriatic. There are 6 islets and cliffs inside the bay, and 25 small coves on the 69 km indented coastline, making it the best opportunity for discovering the rich underwater world and caves. Local establishments line the bay with freshest of local
seafood, dotted with the remains of Roman villages.

Rogoznica
The old stone buildings and town centre of Rogoznica extends far into Adriatic and is known as the spot where the famous Bura and Jugo winds meet. This cultural landmark not only gives you another chance to experience Croatian hospitality, but a highlight here is a visit to the Dragon’s Eye seawater lake – a natural wonder well known amongst adrenaline seekers
and the origin of some of the most fascinating of Croatia folklore.
